Yatri Plays at Prithvi Theatre…Performances Start 27th September 2007…

Yatri recently completed 28 years of its existence. Its HADH KAR-DI AAPNE will celebrate its 350th show at Prithvi theatre on 30th September 2007. Following are the details of the Hindi plays that Yatri has come to be associated with.


Jayawant Dalvi’s classic social drama
KAAL CHAKRA (a play about senior citizens).
Adaptation: Damodar Khadse.

Synopsis- A play focussing on the mental and physical anguish that old couples undergo due to the sheer callousness on the part of their children who do not wish to be burdened with the responsibility of looking after their aged parents.

Cast: Om Katare, Paromita Chatterjee, Raj Shetty, Deepshikha, Shreyas Shah, Pankaj Bhatia, Vani Gupta, Ashok Sharma.

Designed & directed by Om Katare.

Duration: 120 minutes.
Interval: 10 minutes.

Hindi adaptation of P.L.Deshpande’s Award winning play `Vithal to Ala re Ala`.

HEY BHAGWAN!

Adaptation: Ashok Sharma.

Synopsis: The play is a satirical comedy, a pun on our so-called commercial society. We all start our day with prayers and puja, pleading God to fulfill our dreams, desires and aspirations.
What would happen if Bhagwan himself appears in the presence of people? The reaction and the interaction of the mercenaries with the almighty is the subject of this humorous play.
The embedded doubts and fears in the minds of the people enable them to see the TRUTH. Only a character in the play who is blind and does not question his faith, could feel God’s presence.

Cast: Raaj Shetty, Gagan Riar, Rishi Khurana, Yogendra, Pankaj Bhatia, Raj Shroff, Kishore Singh, Vivek, Priyanka, Deepika Pant, Ashok Sharma, Mukud Bhatt, dharmendra, Vikas Raj.

A milestone production for Yatri, Hadh Kar di Aapne is a hilarious social comedy which is running in its 10th year. Yatri has performed about 350 shows of this play in 40 cities.

More than 2 lakh audience have appreciated Hadh Kar Di Aapne, many of them being repeat audiences.

Yatri brings Hadh Kar Di.... once again. This is a very special show for Yatri since it’s the 350th show and still rocking!

Synopsis: This is the story of a middle class family where the head of the family, aged 52, realizes one fine morning that he is going to be a father again! His wife Radha starts planning this happy event with great enthusiasm. Mohan, the husband tries to keep his wife happy by indulging her. His 23 year old daughter Gouri gets inspired & tries to follow suit.
What next??? How does he handle the situation with a 23-year old daughter and son-in-law?
A laugh riot that keeps you engrossed till the end.
