IPTA Mumbai will be performing four of its productions at Prithvi Theatre. These include its revamped musical GIRIJA KE SAPNE, which premiered at the Prithvi festival last year.

GIRIJA KE SAPNE
Sat 12th April at 11:00 am.

Directed by M S Sathyu.

Music by Kuldip Singh.

A musical satire in Hindi, adapted from B Suresha's original Kannada play 'Girija Kalyana'.

Cast:
Mithila Lad, Ronak Kitta, Manju Sharma, Nupur Srivastav, Neeraj Pandey, Vighnesh Sinkar, Minty Singh, Dhanraj Pawaar and others.


BIWI O BIWI

Sun 12th April at 6:00 & 9:00 pm.

Directed by Rakesh Bedi.

A comedy play in Hindi.

Biwi-O-Biwi deals with the theme of modern male chauvinism and how the modern woman stands up to and fights against it.

Cast:
Rakesh Bedi, Rashmi Sharma, Avtar Gill, Sulabha Arya, Ramesh Talwar & others.


HUM DEEWAANE HUM PARWAANE

Sun 13th April at 11:00 am.

Directed by Ramesh Talwar.

'Hum Deewane Hum Parwaane', is a staging of 2 short plays, which deal with the idea of nationhood, of identity and of India as a secular democracy.
This play celebrates our freedom struggle and also looks at its relevance to the very essence of India's identity.

Aasif Sheikh, Avtar Gill, Javed Khan, Rakesh Bedi & others.


KAIFI AUR MAIN

Sat 13th April at 5:00 & 9:00 pm.

Directed by Ramesh Talwar.

Music by Kuldip Singh.

Kaifi Aur Main is a celebration of the renowned Urdu poet and film lyricist Kaifi Azmi's life and works, as seen through the eyes of his wife, noted theatre and film actress, Shaukat Kaifi. The moments are brought to life by his daughter Shabana Azmi and son-in-law Javed Akhtar.
Kaifi Aur Main is a tribute to Kaifi Azmi, his poetry, work, life and most of all his unending courage.
