MTG editorial

Welcome to IPTA Mumbais Dramey-Baazi

Theres Theatre, Dance, Music and Puppetry

SUN 28th DEC 2008

Elimination Round 3pm

Final Round 7pm

at SPJIMR Auditorium, Bhavans Campus, Andheri (W)

Dramey-baazi is a unique quiz on Theatre and the Performing Arts and it is open to the public. It invites participation from individuals, theatre groups, colleges, schools, corporate houses and from anybody who has a keen interest in the performing arts.

The quiz will cover the Indian performing arts that include theatre, music, dance and puppetry. It will also include questions on World Theatre and the Theatre Arts in general. The concept focuses on making this a fun-filled interactive event that challenges our knowledge of the Performing Arts. This will be a chance to come together and explore facts about the people, plays, institutions and events that have shaped theatre in India and around the world. At the same time contemporary theatre in India will also form an essential part of the quiz.

Over the past six decades IPTA Mumbai has presented plays, musical performances, street plays, drama competitions, children's plays and other theatre activities. This is yet another step taken by the organization to increase awareness about theatre and culture using quizzing as a platform.

Each team will have 3 members. There will be a preliminary written round to select the six final teams. The Finals will include different rounds like audio-visual round, buzzer round, oral round, special rounds, audience rounds etc.

Dramey-baazi will be conducted by the well known quiz master Avinash Mudaliar (founder of RV QUIZ CORPORATION -India's biggest quiz club). The quiz will be conducted in Hindi & English.
