IDEA presents 'Manto Ka Diwanapan'...A series of plays based on Saadat Hasan Manto's stories...

MANTO KA DIWANAPAN

Mujeeb Khan's The Ideal Drama and Entertainment Academy (IDEA) is starting its new series of plays based on the short stories of the renowned Urdu writer, Saadat Hasan Manto. This year is Manto's 100th anniversary and IDEA will inaugurate its new series on 13th May 2012 at St Anthony's Institute (SISA) near Mini Punjab restaurant in Bandra (W). The show comprising two stories, 'Jeb Katra' and 'Hatak' will begin at 7 pm.

IDEA has been presenting work by well-known literary figures such as Premchand and Tagore. Thus far, the group has presented 292 stories by Premchand. Other plays that the group regularly performs include MIRZA GHALIB KI HAVELI and AZAD KA KHWAB HINDUSTAN KI AZAADI.
