CHOLO POTOL TULI is a comedy in Bengali, presented by Charbak and directed by Arindam Ganguli. It is based on various short stories by Sibram Chakrabarty. The time frame is the 1950s and 60s. The main story revolves around a finicky man who is afraid that his 'beri-beri' infected neighbour will surely kill him. He turns selfish and tries all possible solutions to ward off the dreaded disease from his house, much to the annoyance and discomfort of his near and dear ones. In the process, he encounters hilarious rib-tickling situations.

An offshoot of Rupantari (formed in 1960), Charbak was founded in 1976 by Jochhon Dastidar, Chandra Dastidar, Sujit Ghosh, Subir Roychoudhuri, Kheyali Dastidar & others. In 2005, Arindam Ganguly wrote and directed his first play CHOLO POTOL TULI. It has been a popular play since and features in its cast noted Bengali actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty.

Spandan is a registered socio-cultural, non-profit association of members from different walks of life who call Mumbai home. In order to gather funds to help the underprivileged girl child, Spandan has organised this play. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be handed to 'Divya Prabha'- a home for girls in distress in Thane.

Donor passes are available for Rs 1000, Rs 700, Rs 500 and Rs 300.
For passes contact Indraneel Ghosh (9930749195) or Deepa Dutta Chaudhuri (9920058700).
