With a legacy of 24 years of Summertime Workshops and 11 years of plays for children, it is time again for Summertime@Prithvi.
This Summertime@Prithvi there will be 89 shows of plays for children between 3 and 100 years old by 25 theatre Companies, through April, May and June.
19 creative workshops are scheduled for the ages 6-16 Years from 25th April to 7th June 2015 by the following conductors:
Om Katare, Chatura Rao, Timira Gupta, Anita Salim, Salim Arif, Lubna Salim, Lovleen Mishra, Shawn Lewis, Kanupriya Pandit, Makrand Deshpande, Priya Patil, Trishla Patel, Merle Almeida, Zia Nath, Sunil Shanbag, Joy Fernandes, Faezeh Jalali & The TIFR Chai&Why? team.
What's New this year?
This year some new artists will join the Summertime season at Prithvi. Terrance Lewis's contemporary dance company will be performing a fusion of dance and drama. Along with regular Theatre Groups, new ones like College Collective and Theatrewaala will join in. Joy Fernandez, who has been a regular when it comes to performance at Prithvi, will be conducting a workshop for the first time. Zia Nath will bring the world of Sufi dance to the youth.
