The 28th Arvind Deshpande Memorial Festival by Awishkar...

For the past 27 years now Awishkar has been holding a theatre festival in memory of one of its co-founders and noted actors Arvind Deshpande. This year as always the festival starts on 3rd January and will go on till 11th January. The festival will open with a classical music recital by Ravi Deshpande. Besides plays from Mumbai, there will be plays from Kalyan and Pune. On the last day of the festival MH.02DL.5262, written by Milind Bokil and directed by Vishwas Sohini. Among the Marathi plays, there's also a Hindi play based on Albert Camus' novel The Stranger (L'Etranger), directed by Gauri Dutt.



All shows will be staged at the Sathaye College auditorium at Vile Parle (E) at 7 pm.
