JANEMANThe cultural and the performance group of BEST Mumbai is getting ready to stage the play JANEMAN (Hindi) written by Macchindra More at the 54th Maharashtra State Drama Festival. The competition show will take place in Nasik at the Parshuram Saaeekhedkar auditorium at 11 am on 21st January.

A show for the BEST workers will take place on 15th January at the Marathi Sahitya Sangh Mandir at Girgaum at 7 pm.

The play is about transsexuals condemned to a certain life and roles in the Indian society. It opens with a ritual that mythologises this 'third gender' in the Indian context.

The BEST team comprises an enthusiastic and sincere bunch of actors.
