eNatya Chaupal, our online platform for talking theatre will feature Deepa Gahlot and Brinda Miller. Both women will talk about empowering theatre as an institution. The programme will take place on Wednesday, 17th June 2015 at 5 pm at the NCPA and can be viewed live at www.youtube.com/enatyachaupal
Deepa Gahlot is the Theatre and Film programming head at the NCPA. She is a journalist,critic, columnist, editor, scriptwriter and author. Her writings have appeared in anthologies on women's studies and cinema. She has written biographies and has translated and adapted plays. She has been writing and commenting on theatre since many years.
Brinda Miller studied Textile Design at Sir JJ School of Art and also studied drawing and painting at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Among her other achievements, Brinda has been with the Kala Ghoda Association almost since its inception in 2000. She is involved in the beautification of this now famous art district of Mumbai and has been instrumental in bringing the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival to its present popularity.
