Love is in the air and on the stage too...Theatre on Valentine's Day...

Thinking what to do this 14th February on Valentine's Day? Well... the city's theatre is brimming with romantic plays. From an interactive theatre piece about relationships to the re-visioning of classics such as Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET, there are various options to choose from to make your V-Day special.

JULIET AUR USKA ROMEO
Sahitya Sangh Mandir, Girgaon, 7pm
About the play: The annual production of the students by the Drama School Mumbai presents a retelling of playwright William Shakespeare's eternal romance ROMEO AND JULIET. This play is from the perspective of Juliet.

I LOVE YOU, LET'S HAVE SEX
Blue Frog, 8pm
About the play: The drama is an interactive piece about relationships, and how it changes individuals. It will be performed by a Delhi-based theatre group called Barefoot.

LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES
Godrej Dance Theatre, 3pm and 7pm
About the play: The play is based on Choderlos de Laclos's novel that is about sex, betrayal and intrigue set in France. Nearly two hundred years later, Portuguese-British playwright Christopher Hampton adapts it for the stage. The award-winning play tells the story of former lovers Marquise de Merteuil and Vicomte de Valmont.

JO BAKA HONEYMOON PAR TO JAVUJ PADE
Nehru Centre, 3.30pm
About the play: The drama follows the life of Baka, who has certain expectations from his wife. Unfortunately, he is married to a small-town girl, who is nothing like the woman he envisaged. He eventually falls for his boss in office who he thinks has all the qualities he wants in a life partner.

UMAR CHHE ANTIQUE PAN DIL CHEE ROMANTIC
Tejpal Auditorium, 4pm
About the play: The play is about Mafat Marfatia, a 50-something widower, who falls in love with Malti. However, Marfatia's son does not approve of this relationship and poses questions.

ROMEO AND JULIET
The Hive, 5pm and 6.30pm
About the play: Based on playwright William Shakespeare's classic, Romeo and Juliet, this play tries to showcase eternal love, which is performed by actor Akriti Singh.

DOUBLE TROUBLE- DOUBLE THE TROUBLE... TRIPLE THE FUNNN
Y.B. Chavan Auditorium, 7pm
About the play: The drama follows the life of Aditya, a wealthy businessman who stays in his flat in Malabar Hills. He has casual relationships with two women, but eventually lands up in trouble.

KHUSH RAHO YAAR, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
Bhaidas Auditorium, 7.45pm
About the play: The play is about two families, who are at odds with each other. It so happens that the son and daughter of the opposing families elope and get married to each other. What ensues is complete madness.

About the play: The drama is an interactive piece about relationships, and how it changes individuals. It will be performed by a Delhi-based theatre group called Barefoot.

LOVE STORIES: SAADAT HASAN MANTO
Andheri Base, 8pm
About the event: This event is a dramatised reading of short-story writer Saadat Hasan Manto's romantic work, which is presented by Jash-E-Kalam.

HALF TICKET
Prabodhankar Thackeray Auditorium, 9pm
About the play: The play is about two brothers and how their lives change when a woman enters their lives.
