Junoon's Mumbai Local - a monthly interactive session that brings artists and scientists to showcase their work - will be featuring noted arts curator and author Ranjit Hoskote this month. The session is titled 'Connecting Art and its Audience'.
In this session, the cultural theorist will bridge the gap between art and his audience by playing several roles; a storyteller, the conductor of a symphony orchestra and the maker of social and cultural artwork. He plans to share his art in order to invoke a response from the audience. His session will be supported by extensive research and will draw from some of his past work including India's first-ever stand-alone national pavilion at the Venice Biennale - Unpacking The Studio: Celebrating The Jehangir Sabavala Bequest, and No Parsi is an Island.
Mumbai Local with Ranjit Hoskote will take place at Kitab Khana, Somaiya Bhavan, Fort; on 17th June, 5.30 pm onwards.
