YAMA...A contemporary dance performance...

April 7, 2017 1:44:58 PM IST
MTG editorial

'Yama' is a Sanskrit word meaning self-control, austerity, restraint and moral obligation. This piece, inspired by the choreographer Laura Arend's journey in India, opens with visions of a sombre universe. The dance is constructed as a journey leading towards liberty and the emancipation of the self.

With Shakir Khan (sitar)

This performance is by the Alliance Francaise de Bombay in collaboration with the NCPA.

Date: 13th April 2017
Time: 7 pm
Venue: NCPA Experimental Theatre
