In memory of one of its stalwart founder-directors Arvind Deshpande, Awishkar has had an annual tradition of organising a festival. The 39th edition of the festival will take place from 9th to 13th February 2018.

The festival will be inaugrated by prominent Indian classical vocalist Manjusha Kulkarmi-Patil from the Gwalior gharana.

The plays to be staged at the festival, starting 11th February are the children's play PANCHTANTRA, followed by POSTER, BACKSTAGEWALLA KONI, PATANG and SHANTABAAY.
