Pooja Khanna and Sanjeev Menon meet as students in college. He is studying history, she economics. They find themselves falling in love as they battle parents, worry about the future, and sort out their confusions.

Fifteen years later, they are married, have children, and are fighting furiously. He is a professor of History, a left-leaning liberal. She is a management executive, bored with the dogma of the dull left and excited by the testosterone rush of capitalism. They look outside their marriage for sex, find each other out, and get divorced.

Twenty years later they meet. They are both now old people.
