Rangbaaz Imraan Rasheed and Pawan Uttam have been active in the Hindi Theatre Scene in India since the past 8 years with groups like Ekjute, AK Various and Aranya. Rangbaaz group has been founded by them to involve its participants in the tribulations of Hindi Theatre and to play some part in the revival and growth of Hindi Stage, which has been losing its appeal and audience base, especially in Metros. The group wishes to bring to life, the innocent humor and interesting stories of the colourful characters from the small towns and villages of India on stage. Bringing humorous stories by known and unknown writers like Premchand (Munshiji ke Gudgudiyaan) and Shaukat Thanvi (Namak Mirch) on stage with different groups was an effort in the same direction.
