Sarvanaam was formed in 2007- the impetus came with the call for Musicals for the Prithvi Theatre Festival 07' and the desire to do a play on famed Gujarati poet Narsinh Mehta. This play is the first production of the group. Sarvanaam wishes to do alternate Gujarati theatre, hold drama workshops, and undertake activities that promote art and culture.
The belief is that the formation of more such groups will add to the strength and the activity of the existing ones- multiplying activity and sharing resources, including human resources in the combined desire to build a vibrant arts and culture scenario.
