The plot of the play in true Gujarati commercial style takes its cue from the publicity surrounding influential and controversial lawyers such as Ram Jethmalani. It revolves around the relationship that comes to be forged between high profile lawyer Hitart Mehta (Deepak Gheewala) and a convicted bootlegger from Porbunder called Raju Odedara (Naresh Kanodia).

Hitart Mehta leads his life in the public eye. He even gets himself elected to the Rajya Sabha but things at home are a mess. His children walk the wrong path of life while his relationship with his wife (Purvi Vyas) continues to deteriorate. In a celebrated television interview, Hitart Mehta rails against his enemies and brashly proclaims that for justice he can even lay down his life.

This interview is carefully watched by Raju Odedara who by then has been convicted by the Mumbai police for the illegal dealing and possession of armed weapons. When he visits Mehta’s office he finds the lawyer receiving a head massage from his secretary. Odedara photographs them and uses the picture to blackmail Hitart into helping him. He also manages to find his way into Hitart’s home.

Once there Odedara finds himself helping the relationship crisis that the Mehta family is in. Slowly things change and Hitart Mehta too has a change of heart. A bond begins to form between the two men as Mehta finally decides to take up Odedara’s case.
