This hilarious play revolves around Siddharth, a young man approaching his thirties. Siddharth's family consists of his brother and his sister in law. He lost his parents some time ago; however, his mother's ghost appears before him every now and then to warn him of any dangers that lay ahead in his life. Siddharth's father was a renowned astrologer and though Siddharth doesn't really have a strong belief in Astrology, he decides to cash upon his father's goodwill and reputation and has chosen Astrology as his profession.

He is in love with a pretty girl named Delnaz, whose father is against Astrology and believes that the only way one can prosper in life is through hard work and hence is against their relationship. One day, quite accidentally Mumbai's notorious gangster Hasu Don lands up at Siddharth's house. The Don's daughter is in hospital and is terminally ill. The doctors have given up all hopes of her survival. Siddharth thinks that the only way he can evade the Don is if he tells him what he wants to hear. So he assures the Don that his daughter will live and since he's an Astrologer, the Don must believe him. At first the Don is skeptical but miraculously or coincidentally, all of Siddharth's predictions and prophecies turn out to be true.

Much to Siddharth’s discomfort, the Don now has complete faith in him and his faith is reaffirmed with each passing day. The Don begins to consult Siddharth before making any move. Meanwhile, the CBI has now found out that the famous Don is staying with Siddharth. So they plan to trap him with Siddharth's help. However, the Don has other plans. Because of his faith in Siddharth he decides that his now healthy daughter should get married to him. Delnaz finds out about this and is obviously infuriated. The Don doesn't want Delnaz in the way and so he gets her kidnapped. On the other hand, when Delnaz's father finds out that the Don has abducted his daughter because of Siddharth, he kidnaps Siddharth's sister in law. The CBI in order to help Siddharth get his sister in law back from the Don, kidnap the Don's daughter. This further adds to the confusion.

The turning point of the play comes when a plan is devised to capture the Don in Dubai. Unfortunately that day, Siddharth's mother's ghost appears before him to remind him of his late father's prophecy that if he doesn't get married before he turns 30, he will die in the very first minute of his 31st year. Obviously this adds to Siddharth's dilemma because the love of his life has been kidnapped by the Don and he has only a couple of hours left before he turns 30. Siddharth, in a state of helplessness doesn't know what to do- that is whether to believe his mother's ghost or whether to focus on saving the woman of his life.
