Moliere’s last three-act comedy is about a hypochondriac Argan (Shantaram), who imagines himself sick and dutifully sticks to any instructions given to him by his doctor, who in turn is throughly unscrupulous. Argan wants his daughter Angelique(Hawava) to get married to the doctor so he can get free medical attention. But Angelique is already in love with Cleante(Hakaki). Together with Argan's maid Toinette(Tullan), and elder brother Beralde(Tauji), Angelique and Cleante attempt to heal Argan of his fixation for doctors.
They convince him to play dead, in order to find out who is really loyal/ in love with him. As in turns out Argan's second wife Beline(Lisheen) in only after his money, wheares his daughter really loves him. After the dead Argan is revived, Angelique is free to marry Cleante.
