EK TANHA CHAAND is a tribute to the legendary actress, the Late Meena Kumari. She had an eventful life, and has been one of the most beautiful and versatile actresses from the yester years. She was the first actress to win the Filmfare award in 1953. One of her best-known roles was in Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962), which was produced by Guru Dutt. Though she cultivated the image of a tragedy queen, she also performed commendably in a few, light-hearted films like Azaad (1955) and Shararat (1959).
