Anamika had a boyfriend in college and she wanted to marry him. But since the boy was not from the same caste as hers, her parents forced her to stop her engineering studies and marry a boy from their community. She was 19 when got married. Anamika accepted the marriage as her fate. But things got even became more difficult for her as her husband worked in Dubai and rarely visited their home in Mumbai. Anamika had to continue to stay with her in-laws who tortured her. After trying to save her 7 year marriage she finally decides to end it. There is no one in her family to support her decision despite the miserable life she is living. Anamika decides to stand alone. Will she survive? What will become of her complex relationship with her lawyer?
The play focuses on the struggle of a woman for freedom, respect and love.
