PART - 1.
SIR...SIR…SARLA is a play about love lived directly and indirectly, in memory and reality. It concerns a professor in literature and his three students. Sarla in love with professor Palekar. He is in love with Sarla as his is other student, Phanidhar. But Sarla gets married to Keshav on the professor's pursuance. Five years later they all meet.

PART - 2.
Seven years later the story continues. Sir has taken an early retirement. Phanidhar has become a prof. in the same college & living in the same house in the college campus. Sarla is divorced. Keshav, Sarla's divorced husband, meets Phanidhar. Romanticism of life is confronted by the harshness of reality.

PART - 3.
Prof. Phanidhar decides to marry his student Gauri. A political party decides to take mileage and make this marriage an issue. Sarla- Keshav want Phani's marriage to happen at any cost. Sir feels this marriage is just a decision to prove a point. Let's see what holds in store!
