He Sur Maazhe Sobati

By MTG editorial

Sumadhura has completed 25 years and is dedicated to Hindustani Music. Its Marathi, musical play in the tradition of the Sangeet Natak opened on 6th October 2007. The highlight of the play is that it is being performed by a group of young people who are in the age group of 22 to 28 years.

The songs in this Sangeet Natak are not as lengthy as they were in the early Sangeet nataks. But they are equally meaningful and are in the style of the Bandish. The songs are in Marathi as well as in Hindi.

A newly married couple is at the centre of the play's story. The leading female character is a famous singer and she is pursuing her career in Music. On the other hand the leading male character is a Project Manager in IT Company. Both are career oriented and this results in some clashes between them. But the girl is not thwarted. She must pursue her dream.
