Music is a fundamental part of every society. It is present everywhere around us, it is in the sound of rain, in our heartbeat and also on every corner of the crowdest streets of Mumbai. It is a shared experience and invites coming together.

Music & Rhythm have always played an important role in our culture. Through music, we express the full range of human emotion—love, joy, anger, hope, despair, the pleasures, and sorrows of being alive.

Music ignites all areas of our development: intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Children also learn cooperation, sharing, compromise, creativity, and concentration—skills that become invaluable as they enter school, face new challenges and begin to form new friendships.

Music & Rhythm helps in the development of
Fine motor development and hand-eye coordination
Language development and listening skills
Rhythm, beat, and tempo
Creative thinking and problem solving
Brain development

This will be achieved by using different group activities, exercises, and games involving basic fundamentals of understanding rhythm and music. Encouraging kids to create their own beats and rhythm enhancing their imagination. Providing introductory basics of music and notes and practicing the concept of harmonizing.

The workshop will be conducted by Atul Somkuwar:
