�Natayashastra is an ancient book of Indian performing art, it was written somewhere between 200 BC to 200 AD. This book talks about all the aspects of performance. Rasa theory is a very crucial significant part of this scripture.
�Today we are going to work towards understanding Rasa.
�Rasa ka matlab hai juice /essence /taste yani kisi bhi performance ya act ka feel.
�Jab koi actor act karta hai aur uss waqt audience jo mahsoos karti hai wo Rasa hai. Rasa can only be experienced. Sirf anubhav kiya jaa sakta hai. Aur yeh har ek performance ka centre hai. This is the heart of all the performances.
There are nine types of rasas therefore they are known as navrasas.

-Hasya �Laughter
-Raudra �Anger
-Karuna �Compassion
-Vibhatsa �Disgust
-Bhayanak �Horror
-Veer �Courage
-Adbhut �Wonder
-Shaant �Peace�
Rasa is the essence of life. It helps enhance Emotional Quotient and Intelligence which can further help your child to understand the emotion and to deal with life with confidence and strength.

The session will comprise of :
Breathing exercises.
Theatre based games to explore the emotions.

INSTRUCTOR:
Lakshika is trained in Chhau, Bharatnatyam (guru shishya parampara). She then attended Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance (U.K.) and London School of Contemporary Dance (U.K.). She has been practicing & teaching movements from last 10 years. Lakshika is also an Internationally certified Yogacharya from Bharatiya Vidhya Bhawan Mumbai. She has been extensively conducting workshops. She teaches on Tata Sky Channel �Acting Adda� and also at the Drama School Mumbai and has also conducted workshops at IIT Mumbai and Kreating Karacters, Andheri(W).

She has also taught and conducted workshops for children at following schools at
