MAHABHARATA

Katkatha, the well-known puppet theatre group from Delhi will be in Mumbai at the Nehru Centre's auditorium to stage its production MAHABHARATA. The group has received several accolades and has participated in international festivals. MAHABHARATA was chosen to be the "Best Play" at the 2017 Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards (META). It has been directed by Anurupa Roy.

The production explores the inner dilemma and back stories of 14 characters from the epic Mahabharata. Each character in the Mahabharata is an archetype whose single minded and unquestioning loyalty to one belief leads to the inevitable conflict. Was there ever a moment when each of these human beings by making a choice, the choice of letting go, could have averted the war?

Date & Time: 25th November, 7.30 pm

Venue: Nehru Centre's auditorium, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli

Guest entry pass at Rs 200 between 10 am and 6 pm at the ticket counter of the auditorium.
