'Ek Mulaqaat' – The Play

Hello! I am Chakshu Khatsuria, a filmmaker based out of Surat, Gujarat. Currently, I am writing a short film, some parts and essence of which matches with the play – 'Ek mulaqaat' between Sahir & Amrita ji – a play by Saif Hyder Hussain.

I have seen it three to four times. Amrita Pritam who lived a very enigmatic life as a writer and suffered a very painful isolation as a woman but faced all that came to her way with an unparalleled dignity is so much appropriately internalized in Deepti Naval's natural acting, may be because Deepti herself is a woman of higher grace and an artist of finest dignity with human sensibility. I love the author Amrita, here the characters, the language and the serenity of the relationship portrayed!
