आज बालगंधर्व येथे २ special नाटक पहिले. खूपच छान कथा आहे. जितेंद्र जोशी आणि गिरीजा ओक यांचा अभिनय अप्रतिम. नाटकातले संवाद तर खूप खूप छान. कुणालाही आपल्याच आयुष्यात घडलेल्या एखाद्या तरी प्रसंगाची आठवण करून देणार असं हे नाटक. प्रत्येकानी नक्की पाहावं असं. All the best Jitendra Joshi, Girija Ook and Kshitij Patwardhan.

Today I watched Marathi drama at yashwant matunga. It was a great experience. Khup diwsani atishay utkat, emotional Natak baghitale. Nepatyha, acting and especially dialogs are too good. Mhanaje P. L.Mayekar, Kanetkar ya diggajyanchi athvan Zali. Begdi patrkaritevar tashere odhtana tya doghanchi gosht apratim sangitli aahe. He Natak sarwani baghitale asech aahe.True marathi lovers much watch this drama. Hats off to H. M. Marathi, khitij patwatdhan and his all team.

Today,I saw don special at balgandharav.
It was just perfect .i really enjoyed the story especially dialogues.i am feeling the story during play.jitu sir,entire team,rohit,girija-is just amazing 😊.

कालच शिवाजी मंदिर येथे दोन स्पेशल चा प्रयोग, माझ्या विशीतल्या दोन भाच्यांना घेऊन पाहिला. नाटकाचा काळ मी जेव्हा विशीत होते तेव्हाचा आहे. मागील २५ वर्षात झालेले बदल पाहिले तर आपण किती स्वतः बदललो आहोत हे जाणवले. दोन्ही मुले गलबलून गेली होती आgणि म्हणत होती कि, "things haven't changed much". जितेंद्र जोशी आणि गिरीजा ओक, तुम्ही दोघेही गुणी कलावंत आहात आणि ह मो मराठे यांच्या या कथेला योग्य न्याय दिलात. या नाटकाचे लेखक दिग्दर्शक, हेच अलीकडे नवीन आलेल्या मुक्त बर्वे च्या चित्रपटाचे दिग्दर्शक आहेत काय?
वृत्तपत्राच्या बदलत्या स्वरूपाचे या नाटकातील सुतोवाच किती समपर्पक आहे न? पण बदल हाच शाश्वत असतो बाकी काही नाही.

30 mins plot stretched to 3hrs

Over all a dull show. Both actors have don't their best but the whole package fails. Backend music is nearly non existent, with same loops running all through the show. Script is wreak with nothing to rave about, at some moments of becomes too boring and we jewels back or urges to leave me way. Sets-a sincerely the worst of all. The play is set in 1990s so one expects it will evoke some nostalgia, but it ends up showing abject poverty. Overall not worth at all..

Both actors have done their best with really superb acting, but the whole package fails.
Background music is nearly non existent, with same loops running all through the show.
Script is weak with nothing to rave about, at some moments it becomes too boring (esp 2nd half) and we had to hold back our urges to leave half the way. It lacks intense dialogs and even the one liners are just cliches.
Sets- sincerely the worst of all. The play is set in 1980s so one expects it will evoke some nostalgia, but it ends up showing the era in poor light and poverty. Logically, if the press in question is so low profile, no one will even care about its publication.
Over all a dull show... Theplaycan surely be better. All the best to Jitendra and Girija.

Watching "DON SPECIAL"play at yashwantrao sabhagrah was an awesome experience. A very strong theme written by none other than sri H.M. Marathe ,natural and sensitive actors like Girija Oak and Jitendra joshi , very precise sets and rendering but what was most amazing was the sound effect - the dull background sounds of printing press, the rattling of tele printer at disturbing moments and ticking of the wall clock against the pin drop silence made the play sink in deeply. As for me, my approach to reading the morning paper will totally change from tomorrow.I will look for the young aspiring boy Umesh Bhosale with his first ever breaking news .I couldn't get the actor's name but hats off to him too

Today at Zaverben hall , Ghatkopar I saw marathi drama ' Don Special' it was amazing storie and acting of Jitendra Joshi, Girija Ok , and Rohit Haldikar was excellent. Nepathya, light, and music was appropriate. I wish that every marathi person should see. I have promise artist that I will be present for 100 th show. God bless entire team.
