DAAL DHOKDI Story :

Some relationships are like Tom and Jerry's, they argue and disagree all the time but they still “can’t live without each other”, This quote goes almost with all the couples whose marriages still exist. Few of them must have been one-year-old relationships and few must have crossed the golden jubilee, but the quote remains the same for almost all.

DAAL DHOKDI is also a story of a young couple who is a few months old in their marriage. Love before their Love marriage was very sweet and “ek duje ke liye” but people say you can't live without love, but oxygen is more important.

So, our Rahul and Anjali are one of those filmy couples who fell in love at first sight and they didn’t take much time to become Tom and Jerry. Champak Bhai is the neighbour and a father figure for Rahul and Anjali. He is sweet jovial and full of life. At times he is troublesome for Rahul because he knows about their troubles in marriage. A phone call to Rahul adds to his agony when he comes to know that his mom-in-law is coming home to stay. Here starts the twist and turns where Rahul and Anjali have to pretend. But Champak also changes his outlook when he finds an impressive personality in Manorma.

Another twist in the tale is waiting when Rahul’s father advocate Styaprakash enters with his assistant lawyer Buddhisagar who wants to be his replica but is not even near to his boss’s brilliance. Satyaprakash, a divorce lawyer, waiting for his record-breaking divorce case and finds out one within the house.

The roller coaster ride begins with hilarious situations when Satyaprakash wants to complete his divorce number 500 and his own assistant is now his opponent. Champak becomes a watchman when this house is suddenly in two parts.

What shock does Manorama face once the truth is revealed to her? What changes does Satyaprakash make in her life?

And finally what elders decide to make the tale even more interesting?

Happenings and fun in each and every moment of this play, unstoppable laughter, soothing music, rich and glorifying sets and lights with crafty direction make this play a unique family entertainer.
