'Rangshila Theatre' in collaboration with 'Arts for Action' presents
A two day workshop with 4 intensive 3-hour sesssions- a total of 12 hours.
Dates:- 24th & 25th Feb 2018
Timings :- 10 am - 6 pm
Venue:- Lokhandwala, Andheri West

In today's era, as cinema & theatre are moving towards more
realistic approaches to acting, a lot of actors are heavily dependent on
words or language.Almost 70-80 % of communication is Non-verbal
and that translates to acting & performing as well.

Understanding our body,its movement and being able to generate emotions
is important for any performer and through this 2 day intensive
physical workshop, the aim is to work on devising & improving on visceral & physical performance skills, and explore techniques that Melissa has developed over the last 15 years while working in multiple countries

Melissa has been doing theatre and applying arts for development in diverse contexts for 15 years.
Trained at 'The London International School of Performing Arts', (LISPA) and living and working for 13 years in Malawi and Zimbabwe; Melissa�s
practice embraces a creative pedagogy rooted in local cultures with a specialist focus on applying the arts for good governance, human rights,
dialogue and justice.

This workshop is highly recommended for professional actors & performers, dancers, choreographers, theatre makers,
facilitators and performing arts graduates.
