Carry On Heaven!

In this musical comedy, the King of Gods, Indra desires to see a 20th century man. Fair enough. But what he gets is much more than he has bargained for...when a mischief-maker uses his trouble-making ploys and gets an Indian minister of considerable political clout to the gates of Heaven.

But the Minister, a thorough-bred political animal from the Indian ‘cow-belt’, falls prey, not to the godly aura of Swarg, or its seductive Apsaras, but to the alluring grandeur of Indrasan, Indra’s celestial throne. This is the kursi of his dreams, this ultimate seat of power! What follows is a hilarious chain of events...Yamraj, the God of death joins the new coalition party! Menaka, the heavenly apsara gets a make-over as Britney Spears.

Hip and smart advertising executives are flown up to heaven to create an advertising campaign that would give the dark God of Death a new shining sparkling poster-image!!! Elections break out in Swarg and finally when all constitutional means fail to avoid a 'hung parliament'... a breakthrough in diplomacy...a political qawalli solves the problem! The music for the play has been designed by Louis Banks and the songs are a take-off on Bollywood and Hollywood popular numbers.
