The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Powai) has a Mini Theatre Fest planned from 22nd to 27th August 2006...

The IIT theatre fest will showcase six plays in Hindi and English. All the shows will be held at its P C Saxena Auditorium, IIT Campus, Powai at 8:15 pm with the exception of Ramu Ramanathans COTTON 56, POLYESTER 84 which will be performed at 1:15 pm.

The IIT Theatre Fest has been organised and mentored by Prof Raja Mohanty and Ramu Ramanathan.

This is to ensure IIT evolves into a meeting point for our students and faculty, along with artistes, theatre practitioners, musicians, poets, playwrights, directors, media people, others - into a hub-hub of liveliness. We hope to make this an ongoing activity. We're most grateful to all the theatre groups for agreeing to perform for next to no money."
