ABOUT PREM UTSAV

Shri Prem Chand needs no introduction. He has in many ways been an architect of early Indian writing. With his pen, he touched the lives of many people and has opened the tightly bolted doors that stood in the way of many emerging writers.

The topics he chose for his writing were diverse. He wrote on every burning issue be it gender bias or the exploitation and injustice towards women prevailing in society during those days. He also wrote about the apathy towards the backward classes, of the injustice they had to bear and about the caste system which has been the bane of our society.

These problems still exist in Indian society. Moreover Prem Chand has a formidable body of work, which deals with a variety of issues relating to unity, fraternity and non-violence. PREM CHAND is the need of the hour. In this man eat mans world Prem Chands stories speak of a civilized, cultured, progressive and a balanced society. The stories have been directed by Mujeeb Khan.
