Essay Communications is a forum for theatre and other allied arts in Mumbai. Ghalibnaama, a concert comprising of the letters and poems of Mirza Ghalib, Kharaashein-the scars from riots, a collage on stage of Gulzar's writings on communal harmony, Peele Patton Ka Ban a collection of three monologues and Javed Siddiqi's Aapki Soniya and Kachche Lamhe are some of its well-known productions.
LAKEEREIN has been designed and directed by Salim Arif. Yashpal Sharma, Kishor Kadam, Lubna Salim lead the impressive cast, which includes the debut of some new actors.
Seema Sehgal, the renowned Ghazal singer has given music to a few poems of Gulzar saab. She will also be singing these poems during the shows.
The play premieres on 28th October and will run till 31st October 2008 at Prithvi Theatre.
