‘Abhinaya’ is a competition of short plays in Hindi, Kannada and English, promoted and organized by the Shree Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College and its Centre for Management Studies (SBMJC-CMS). The competition has been envisaged as a platform for encouraging new talent in theatre. It welcomes colleges, amateur and non-professional theatre groups from across India to participate.

There is no Entry fee for the competition and all out-station teams that qualify for the pre-final round will be provided accommodation, food and reimbursement of travel expenses (SL/CLRly.Tkt.)

SBMJC-CMC is the flagship of the Jain group of institutions; JGI, a conglomerate of 32 institutions spread across India. The competition is scheduled to take place between 1st and 8th November 2008. On November 1st a preliminary round of selection for Mumbai will take place.
