Abhivyaktee- Panaji to perform KALIDASA PRATIBHONMESHAH in Mumbai...
Goa based theatre group Abhivyaktee will perform KALIDASA PRATIBHONMESHAH in Sanskrit at the Sahitya Sangh auditorium at Girgaum on 3rd February 2010 at 10.30 am. This performance is open to all.
The great poet Kalidasa is believed to have lived circa 5th century A.D & served in the court of Gupta King Vikramaditya. The play presents his life story in a narrative form interwoven with the major incidents in his creative pursuit. It is believed that he took to writing after being rejected by his wife for his uncultured behavior. His journey from Ujjain to Sri Lanka has been depicted in the play with certain excerpts from his literary works.
