IIT Mumbai's Mood Indigo Winning Plays at the NCPA...

Winners and Runners up at the One-Act Play Competition and Street Play Competition, which was organized by IIT Powai for its Mood Indigo festival 2009, will be performed at the NCPA on 24th of May, 2010.
The performances will be from 6:30 pm to 10 pm.


The Plays:

NAALI KE KUTTE

College: IIT Bombay
Position: 1st at One-Act Play Competition at Mood Indigo 2009.

A lone Indian soldier mans a remote border outpost. Driven by boredom and introduced by chance - he finds a new friend to while away time. Watch this friendship bloom even as war looms large.

Duration: 50 minutes

RAFI SAHAB KI MAIYYAT

College: IIT Bombay
Position: Finalist at One-Act Play Competition at Mood Indigo 2009.

Agar aapko pata chale ki aap chand dino ke mehmaan hai to aap kya karenge? Rafi saheb ko haal hi mei iss baat ki khabar mili. Har maiyat mei logon ko khone ka gum hota hai. Per Rafi saheb ki maiyat kuch alag hai, yahan aaye mehmaano ka rona sakht mana hai. Aaiye phir shamil hote hain iss anokhe maiyat mei.

Duration: 50 minutes.

HUM KITNE HAIN

College: Gargi College, Delhi
Position: 1st at Street Play Competition at Mood Indigo 2009.
A street play on population explosion and its effects in our nation with a high energy performance!

Duration: 20 minutes (including setup time)

JAAGO JAAGO JAAGO

College: IIT Bombay
Position: 3rd at Street Play Competition at Mood Indigo 2009.

JAAGO JAAGO JAAGO is a street play aimed at awakening the youth and bringing to their attention how much the country needs them. Great leaders of the country like Rajiv Gandhi, Bhagat Singh and others had set examples for the youth of the coming ages to learn and follow. However today's youth has not only forgotten our heroes and their teachings but have chosen to indulge in activities leading to neither theirs nor their country's good.
