The Nehru Centre's 15th Theatre Festival...

From 19th to 26th September 2011, the Nehru Centre will celebrate its 15th theatre festival. The festival this year will present 'a retrospective of classic works of theatre, showcasing the work of eminent theatre directors of India'.

The festival programme includes directors like the late Habib Tanvir, Salim Arif, Waman Kendre, Nadira Zaheer Babbar, Naseerudin Shah, Usha Ganguly, Vijay Padaki and others.

The Pune based Aasakta Kalamanch will present TICHEE SATRA PRAKARNE, based on Martin Crimp's original text on Friday, 23rd September and Sandesh Kulkarni will present his PUNASHCCHA HONEYMOON on 25th September. Amongst the various other plays included are Usha Ganguly's CHANDALIKA, and Manish Mitra and Kasba Arghya's BHARATKATHA from Kolkata. The festival closes with MS Sathyu's AAKHRI SHAMA.
