ASWAMEDHAM

The Bombay Cultural Association (BCA), formed in the year 1966, has been staging plays. ASWAMEDHAM, originally written in Marathi by renowned Marathi playwright Ratnakar Matkari, has been translated into Tamil by V Jagannath, who has also directed the play. The story effectively deals with how a college professor, a proponent of Shakespeare and his writings, changes after joining the corporate world. He becomes very ambitious and is egged towards this goal by his wife. The story unwinds in the process of the professor trying to achieve his ambition, and the repercussions it has.

The cast includes V Jagannath, Jayameera, V Ramesh, Vishwanathan, Natarajan, Kalyani Natarajan, Ponnambalam and Subalakshmi

The play will be staged on December 29 2012 at 8.00 pm at the Kalidas Auditoriam, Mulund West, Mumbai.
