TEMPERANCE

The British Council in association with Temperance and Creative Scotland invites theatre and performing arts' people to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Roadshow, a panel discussion on the what, why, and how of the Edinburgh Fringe, touted as the largest performing arts festival in the world. This panel discussion will be useful to the performing arts' companies and individual artists who would like to know about the Edinburgh Fringe festival and about the opportunities of participating in the festival.

Kath M. Mainland, the Chief Executive of the Fringe, who is in India just for the purpose of spreading the word about the Fringe, and demystifying it, will lead the panel discussion along with Quasar Thakore Padamsee of Q Theatre Productions, Rajit Kapoor from Rage Productions, Sameera Iyengar from Junoon, and Papa CJ, the internationally renowned comedian. All four panelists have had first-hand experience with the Edinburgh Fringe.

The event is planned as a two way communication street. Apart from discussing the basics of the Fringe, it is also a space to hear back from the Indian performance art community their views, thoughts and current happenings.
