Pearl PadamseeRaell Padamsee's Academy for Creative Expression (ACE) will hold the 9th Pearl Padamsee Trophy for Excellence in Speech and Drama in the loving memory of Pearl Padamsee. This year, ACE has expanded its reach and has invited 60 schools across the city to be a part of this prestigious elocution competition, the finals of which will be held on November 23, 2013 at the Rangswar Hall, Y.B. Chavan auditorium.

For the first time there are 3 different age groups. They are 4 to 6 years, 7 to 9 years and 10 to 13 years. The theme for the first two age groups is 'Equality for All' and the theme for the last age group is very specific 'Gender - Equality for All'. This theme has been chosen, so that children can be sensitised towards this issue from a young age and understand the meaning of true equality. In the entire process, the students will be judged by eminent personalities from the field of theatre and they will receive expert comments on their performances. Celebrities too will join in to boost the morale of the participants and the winning children will receive trophies from the Academy for Creative Expression (ACE).
