Thespo, India's well-known youth theatre festival will take place from 7th to 13th December 2015 at Prithvi Theatre. Thespo is inviting registrations from young theatre enthusiasts all over India.

The registration for full-length plays is open and the last date to submit entries is 1st September 2015.

Below are the guidelines to be followed while registering for the festival:

  • All members of the team (except the writer & the producer) need to be under 25 years of age, i.e. born after 1st January 1989.
  • The full-length plays need to be minimum 1 hour long (60 minutes).

  • The plays need not have an original script.
The screening process will take place in the month of October, wherein a 2-member screening panel will visit different cities across the country, watch every registered play and provide the teams with detailed feedback about their play.

In the first week of November, Thespo will shortlist the best full-length plays of the year which will then be showcased at the festival in December. The shortlisted teams will also be provided with expert guidance and feedback by experienced theatre practitioners in the month of November.

Besides full-length plays, registrations are also open for platform performances and live musical performances that are also part of the main festival in December.

Platform performances are shorter duration performances that are a maximum of 30 minutes long. The last date of registration for platform performances is also 1st September 2015.

Thespo is also inviting entries for live musical performances at the festival, which are purely acoustic performances without use of distortion and needs to be minimum 40 minutes long. The last date of registration for live musical performances is 1st October 2015.
