This August, Junoon's 'Mumbai Local' will once again feature a variety of sessions with theatre and science personalities at its select venues in Mumbai:


Sudhanva Deshpande of Jana Natya Manch from Delhi will talk about his theatre group's collaboration with The Freedom Theatre in Palestine, and of what it means to do theatre in difficult circumstances in countries such as Palestine.

Dr Jaikumar Radhakrishnan, a computer scientist and a mathematics enthusiast will talk of a striking phenomenon that was recently discovered and will introduce the Gale-Shapely algorithm from 1962 that proves that the stable matching/stable marriage problem can be solved.

Father-daughter duo, Shernaz and Burjor Patel will speak of their years in theatre and of their shared theatre legacy.

Sonali Kulkarni will talk about her experiences as an actress who has worked in theatre and in film.

Nandita Das will talk about acting and directing for theatre and film.
