Thespo, India's popular and successful youth theatre festival is back with a bang, ready to unfold its 17h edition. The Mumbai orientation meet for its 17th season is scheduled for 3rd August, 2015 at 4pm at Prithvi Theatre. Then on, the Thespo wave reaches Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Pune through upcoming orientation meet-ups.
Thespo 17 extends a call for entries to everyone who is below the age of 25 years and possesses a heart that beats for theatre. Besides, this is also a perfect national level platform for those with talent in Acting, Direction, Music, Writing, Designing, Photography, or any other theatre related activity.
The youthful orientation meeting at Mumbai will serve as the first step in the journey of Thespo to engage the budding and potential participants. Besides information sharing, these meets ensure every young theatre-lover gets to know there is a platform that cares for their talent as much as they do. While disseminating details of previous activities, the orientation meetings will elucidate how one can participate. Irrespective of the city of orientation, anyone from all over India can join in, by either staging a play or participating in a short performance, a mime, poetry readings or monologues. One can even attend workshops, design posters, write articles for the Thespo Magazine or join the organising team.
Thespo witnesses an overwhelming participation from the length and breadth of India who represent different cultures, vivid ideas, varied identities and art forms. Writers, Directors, Actors, Musicians, College Students, Youth Theatre Groups, Professional Theatre Groups, Journalists, Theatre Lovers, Thespo Alumni and Friends of Thespo (FOT), the gates are open for all to come. The Thespo 17 Orientation meetings designed and organised by QTP, under the aegis of its parent guardian Theatre Group Bombay will be held at eight cities across India, which are Baroda, Nagpur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Pune.
