Sahil Vasudeva has been credited with bringing the piano out of conventional spaces into the realm of performance art. He is one of the few local musicians performing western classical music in India and he wishes to revive the dying art of solo piano performance. He is keen to share the depth and his passion for classical composition.
The Un-Recital looks at his journey as a musician juxtaposed with the chaos of the Capital, the city he calls home. Accompanied by mixed media and an introspective narrative, the performance breaks away from a traditional recital to offer classical music within a personal context. The performance will include work by Rachmaninov, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Philip Glass, Schumann, Debussy, Satie, and his own compositions.
The show has been produced and is being presented by The Royal Opera House, Mumbai. The Royal Opera House, Mumbai provides a unique platform in the city for people to encounter the breadth of the performing and visual Arts.
