''Sweet Dreams R Made of These'' is the story of Daju, the legendary Candy confectioner in the Himalayas, and his new apprentice Kabir.
Daju is a grouchy and often cruel master. Bitter as he is, that sweet and delightful are his creations - 'Choco-filled Cream Munches, Berry-laced Grape Bunches. Mint drops and Cherry Pops, Candy Fire and Almond Desire, Blueberry Creams and Strawberry Dreams...
Kabir, the apprentice, is able to seek solace from his master's tyranny by eating the 'Sultan.' The Sultan is a special and almost forbidden sweet. ''Looks like Turkish Delight from the outside, all white and fluffy, is soft and gooey on the inside with a surprise crackle and a nut in the heart of its center...''
When you bite into it, Khwaish, the dream descends, bringing with her some interesting characters - Ol' Bag Of Tricks, Ol' Sack of Sauce, and Matrushka, the Russian Wind Up Doll. Khwaish teaches Kabir how to dream and how to reach for the stars.
The musical deals with troublesome human relationships, the magical world of dreams, and how we can live out our dreams in reality.
