Damoo Kenkre:
"The Inter Collegiate Competitions were insituted in 1950. In 1951, when i was studying in the School of Arts, we participated. Our entry was Rahsya ani Taruni. We won prizes etc... It occured to me that we can try out different things, apart from the competitions which were held only anually. I thought of brining together students from different colleges to form a nucleus of theatre persons..."
