Aranya was formed in the year 2003 by a group of friends. Coming from different backgrounds, each person in this group has been associated with theatre for the last 10-12 years. Arnaya's first production was "Shakkar Ke Paanch Daane" which ran successfully at Prithvi Theatre. Director Manav Kaul was the one who had an idea in his mind out of which a concept grew and in less than a month, 'Shakkar Ke Paanch Daane' was produced.

Manav Kaul (writer) Manav has acted with several theatre groups before. He shifted base to Mumbai to take up theatre professionally. Since then, he has trained under Pandit Satyadev Dubey and Sunil Shanbaug.

Tushar Raut (producer) He has been associated with Prithvi theatre for the last ten years. He has been handling all the events organized at Prithvi theatre.

Kumud Mishra: (Actor) Kumud graduated from the National school of Drama. He has been associated with theatre for the last 14 years. He too has worked with theatre personalities Pandit Satyadev Dubey and Sunil Shanbaug. Besides theatre, Kumud as also acted in several feature films and documentaries.

Seneca Mendonca (Sound Designer) Seneca has been associated with theatre for the last 6 years. She has also participated in an international play staged at the Prithvi festival (year 2004). She is currently studying animation.

Bijohn Mondal (Light Designer) Bijohn has been associated with theatre for the last 7 years. Hailing from Bhopal, Bijohn has worked with various theatre personalities back home and in Mumbai too.

Arnaya's next production will be 'Pile Scooterwala Aadmi'.
