Natsamaj

Lalit Parimoo met Sarangi Soni and Azaad at two separate plays. The trio soon discovered that they shared a similar passion for theatre. This led to the beginning of Natsamaj over an informal chai-samosa session. Each of them believed that theatre is a means for expression. Natsamaj is intended as a community of theatre lovers. It aims to perform low cost and socially relevant plays in different areas of the country. Entertainment is not its only objective. Creating extravagant productions is not its goal.

Natsamaj holds regular workshops based on a special module called as Abhinay Yog. The workshop tries to teach participants the art of expression through the medium of Acting. Every workshop is followed by a production. The group has a few productions to its credit such as DHONGI (adapted from Moliere's TARTUFFE), PASHU SE MANUSHYA, LOTTERY (both written by Munshi Premchand) and others. However DAAYARA written by Sarangi Soni and directed by Lalit Parimoo is its first major production.

Lalit Parimoo has been involved with television, stage and films for over 15 years now. Sarangi Soni is a marketing professional, writer and actor. Azaad is an entrepreneur and a filmmaker of short films.
