2ND INNINGS

In this light cheerful rom-com, the story revolves around four characters and two love stories. Boy meets girl on the first day of college. After spending a little time they suddenly decide it's time to 'meet the parents'. Boy lives with divorced father and girl with widowed mother. When the parents hear about this they initially resist the idea of the girlfriend/boyfriend being a single parent child. But soon it is clear that the kids are adamant in their ways. Unknown to the kids both the parents have had their share of heart break when they could not marry their college sweet heart due to family pressure- a fairly common phenomenon in their day. After remembering this fact in separate incidences the parents soften down and decide that they will not make the same mistake of separating the two lovers. The day of meeting is decided and the parents come face to face. Thunderbolt strikes their hearts when they realise they are the very same lovers that had parted all those years ago. Now in touch again because of their kids, after a lifetime spent without each other, they share the nostalgia of their college time romance, memories of their spouse and the funny irony of being in-laws in the near future. Though they have taken care to hide their past from the kids, they take great pleasure in telling each other that it must be the power of their own true love that ultimately got their next generation together. On one side parents are preparing themselves for the future marriage of their kids and on other side the all too sharp kids find out about the unfulfilled love affair of their parents! The kids secretly conspire to bring their parents together.
